Every year our joy, here at BOL reaches new heights with the large number of students, teachers and schools opening their doors and hearts to be equipped and motivated how to treat personal and social issues boldly and successfully. Being part of their lives and helping them build strong characters and set proper priorities in life has brought so much encouragement to the team and potential as we follow positive results in changed lives.
Thus, every common meeting and school class becomes a celebration – another chance to influence and make a difference.
So, during the last days of this May over 400 children, parents and teachers from 2 local High Schools of Chisinau joined us for a memorable time of learning and fun in a camp outside of Chisinau. The event was marked by important discussion with our trainers and school teachers and difficult physical challenges for the teams formed of young and older students. Coming together they all learned how to find common language, interact and support each other as team members.
‘’After one year of learning so much from Beginning of Life’s social teachers, helping us change the way we view things and get involved in society, we gathered in this beautiful camp to challenge our intellectual and physical potential. Because we were divided in groups of students from 5th to 12 grade, we had the amazing opportunity to learn how to come together as a team and work towards a common goal, without stumbling on such factors as age, intellectual potential, character and abilities. I am very grateful for such a wonderful event for our school.’’
‘’My greatest challenge is to find common language with children other than my peers, but today I found victory over that. Working together with other students challenged my social skills and my abilities. I’ve learned the importance of communication and how to follow certain goals near people who share the same vision.’’
Serghei (BOL social teacher):
So many statistics speak about the fact that lack of awareness and healthy social environments push teenagers and young people unconsciously into networks of human trafficking, or sexual and physical violence. Starting with daily teaching in local schools and ending up with similar common meetings with students, we try to teach students the right values and proper attitude towards life’s challenging issues. We try to help them set goals in life and arrange their priorities, so that each individual will develop a safe, resilient life, here at home, in Moldova.’’
