A sports center, established on the Urban Center basis, is another response of BOL to the disastrous trends that are spreading in the community. Since February 2014, two sport classes have started: table tennis and shaping. The table tennis team is designed for teenagers from Place of Change. A trainer-volunteer is working with a group of 20 teenagers. During the week up to 50 young people have opportunity to play table tennis in the Urban Center sports room.
In addition to this, in the evenings girls from BOL’s ‘Dream House’ prevention center have shaping work-outs. These help them to grow and develop the physical side of their personality along with intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual spheres. This is a component part of BOL’s vision to promote a healthy lifestyle for people, especially among the population’s more vulnerable groups. We want to see new leaders arising, and united teams focused on achieving specific and real goals in sports, in work, in life. Our goal through sport is to help young people carry out life effectively, with benefits for themselves and for society, instead of existing aimlessly and wasting their lives. Our desire is to create small teams in different sports with regular training. We want to see young people happy and succeeding in all spheres of life, and to have healthy youth and strong families.
