Dream House

Dream House is a prevention center for at-risk girls, ages 14-17.

Lack of parental care, extreme poverty, very low levels of life skills and literacy, frequent violence, addictions and other dangers are all common backgrounds of children from rural areas of Moldova. Girls with these backgrounds have enormous difficulties in development and integration. Consequently, according to statistics, they are more likely to become victims of human trafficking, child pornography and sexual violence.
In response to awareness of these issues, BOL established the ‘Dream House’ prevention center for girls at risk – a place where the child can feel safe, and where she will be accepted, understood and supported.
The purpose of this center is primarily to protect young girls from violence, exploitation and trafficking networks, along with help in developing a consistent and holistic character.

Dream House program provides support for girls IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  • PHISICAL - safe housing, medical care, food, basic needs,

  • EMOTIONAL - psychological counselling,
  • SOCIAL - developing their life skills, professional orientation, reintegration into the family (if possible), communication and conflict resolution, social assistance,
  • SPIRITUAL – instructing them in the knowledge of God’s grace.
